TWP 200 is the heavy-duty member of the TWP family. It is a high-solids treatment meant to put life back into weathered cedar shake and shingle roofs - wood that has dried out, curled and started to crack.
What it does to a tired roof
Aged shakes are brittle because the wood fiber has dried out. TWP 200 soaks deep into that porous wood and adds body back to the fibers, which helps the shingles stay flexible instead of snapping and splitting. What remains near the surface resists water, mildew and algae, so you see less cupping, less grain cracking and less surface erosion over time. It all comes from one coat.
